What is reverse osmosis

To properly understand this concept, we must divide the words and first understand what it means osmosis. The word or osmosis phenomenon is rooted in the idea of finding a balance. And applied to the field of chemistry, is the process by which two fluids or liquid contact with different composition and concentration of dissolved solids, and mixed forming a uniform substance. Now, if we separate these fluids through a semipermeable membrane, and let the less concentrated fluid passes through the membrane to the other fluid reservoir, it will acquire a higher concentration across the membrane.
