It seemed that the discovery of new chemical elements was a thing of the past. I refer to stable elements, not to those who from time to advertise that exist only in the laboratory and are so unstable that only exist for fractions of a second infinitesimal.

But a new result would indicate that at least one and possibly many more stable elements to discover. According to a publication in ArXiv A. Marinov and others, have apparently discovered a superheavy stable isotope present in natural thorium. The same would have some 122 atomic number and mass number 292. His name is tentatively unbibium. Its relative abundance is quite low (about 10 -12 times the abundance of thorium) The same is believed to be stable, with half-life of about 10 8 years.
