Activity .- is the ability it possesses to be able to convert a given load into products. This activity is based on the chemical composition of the catalyst and its specific area. This proiedad catalyst is high in a cool and decreases with time of operation that is subjected.
The reduction in activity may be caused by:
- High temeperaturas or thermal deactivation.
- Steam caused the breakdown of particles, this phenomenon is called hydrothermal deactivation.
- Sodium favors the neutralization of acid sites and form bonds with silicon metal-alumina, making the catalyst sintering.
- Vanadium, which destroys the zeolite causing the collapse of the crystal structure of it.
