The effects of hard water

Hard water is one that is obtained from wells or certain tributaries, whose main characteristic is the existence of a large percentage of magnesium and calcium, two minerals which are positively charged ions. This type of water generates a lot of problems for the home and industries that can be solved through a water treatment called softening.

The main problems arising from the existence of hard water to which does not apply the proper treatment of water are the corrosion and encrustation. The first occurs if there is liquid into steam to dry resulting in the generation of highly corrosive condensate.
