Engineer Systems engineer responsible for performing requirements development, management and verification (RDMV) activities from the system level down to the hardware/software level; supporting system architecture design and system level trade studies for unmanned systems. Specific tasks include definition of higher-level performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of functional requirements, allocation of requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation. The candidate will represent the organization as the prime technical contact and coordinate/collaborate with diverse engineering design teams to provide creative technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
Duties will be performed at a high level without appreciable direction. Candidate may function in a project leadership role in guiding major work packages to successful completion.Basic Qualifications: A BS degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 9 years of related experience is required or an MS degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 7 years of related experience. This position requires directly applicable RDMV experience. The candidate must have experience with modern SE methods for requirements analysis (use cases, activity diagrams), requirements management, and architecture definition (UML, SysML). The candidate must have proven written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. The candidate must have an active secret-level security clearance. Some relocation assistance may be available.Preferred Experience: Experience with unmanned and/or C4ISR systems and hands-on experience with the DOORS requirements management tool.
