Amira Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has announced the initiation of a Phase I clinical trial of AM211, the candidate of internally discovered oral drug for the treatment and control of inflammatory and allergic diseases related to the path of acid.
AM211 is a selective antagonist oral DP2 receptor, which recent studies have shown that it is a potential target for treating asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and allergic rhinitis. The Phase I study is designed for security and test data mechanism AM211.
Also known as DP2 or CRTH2 receiving quimioatrayente homologous molecule expressed on Th2 lymphocytes. DP2 is a high affinity receptor for prostaglandin D2, and in humans, is involved in Th2-dependent allergic inflammation.
