Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Investigate and establish causes for repetitive or excessive discrepancies using problem solving and statistical process control techniques. Evaluate engineering drawings and specifications for adequacy as it applies to processes, material and product. Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Must be able to design and evaluate inspection requirements and make appropriate adjustments to processes and procedures. Evaluate adequacy of tooling, metrics, methods, machines, materials, process capability and training utilized in producing conforming parts. Design and specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests, inspections and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Provide process and product health visibility to management. Participate as Quality Engineering representative for the Integrated Product Teams and or program focal point. Basic Qualifications: BA/BS or equivalent and 15 years of related experience. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certification preferred. Relocation Assistance Available.
