The position is responsible for coordinating the Targets Engineering IPT staff within the major engineering disciplines, e.g. Avionics, Electrical / Mechanical Design, Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) , Software, Data / Configuration Management, Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Liaison and field technician representatives. The position will be the focal point for providing Aerial Target Programs Product Delivery Team (Manufacturing) sustaining engineering support.
Additionally, the position will require the writing and execution of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), Independent Research and Development (IRandD) proposals, support to the Configuration Change Board (CCB), generating statements of work (SOW), test plans, task assignments, Capital / NCTA task development and the tracking / coordination of various work packages within the IPT. Position shall provide technical review and oversight to include supplier and customer technical interface during implementation of ECPs, supplier Request for Change / Information (RCIs) and, in general, overall Target Programs operations.Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree with at least 14 years of experience in an engineering discipline that supports a manufacturing / operation environment with a strong background in the development of new Unmanned Aerial Target systems. Required are leadership, management, written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills coupled with experience with EVMS, CMMI, Factory Accountability requirements, current software development best practices and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARs). A DoD Secret Clearance is required. Preferred Experience: Candidates with prior IPT management / leadership experience, in a production / new system development environment, with a current DoD Secret Clearance, preferred.
