The Design Group is recruiting in 13 regional offices located in Concord, New Hampshire; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Greenville, South Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; St. Louis; Missouri; Dallas, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Sacramento, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, California; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The Design Group currently has a staff of 350 professionals, including project managers, electrical, mechanical, chemical, and validation engineers, computer programmers, and other technical specialists with experience in a wide variety of industrial automation applications.
Process Design Engineer – Chicago
Education BS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering is preferred, but consideration will be given to other engineering degrees based on actual project experience.
Experience Minimum 5-7 years of plant project engineering experience involving process and related automation applications, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
Requirements/Responsibilities Responsibilities include accountability for complete project execution including system design, documentation management, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, project schedule and financial management, site management as well as installation and start-up support.
This position requires a strong working knowledge of process design inclusive of PFDs, P&IDs, mass & heat balances, piping systems, pump sizing, material handling methods, process equipment specifications, functional specifications, installation specifications, as well as process instrumentation & control.
This position requires excellent project engineering and project management skills as well as strong computer (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, & AutoCAD) and analytical skills.
This position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, effective organizational skills and the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities. Candidates need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Maintaining solid client relationships is a key responsibility.
Travel Requirements Overnight travel will be required on a sporadic basis to support installation and start-up activities, attend Client meetings, Design Group management meetings, company sponsored training and industry related seminars, forums or conventions.
