Traditionally, treatment of water in the pools was performed using chlorine in any of the three forms of marketing: solid, liquid or gaseous. But this method of purification by chlorine becoming obsolete thanks to the emergence of new solutions. Besides being old, treatment with chlorine is annoying because of the smell that distills and produces irritation on the skin and eyes. One new treatment that is having a resounding success, is the Salt Electrolysis system.
This system also generates chlorine but from salt dissolved in water. hat is, you get the same result through different procedures. This means that although the product is the same, the composition is different. Anyway, this treatment through the salt has not in any way, the salt concentration of sea salt, which have a 6-fold higher salinity water pool.
How does this process? Percentage of salt diluted in water (4 to 6 kg/m3 of water approximately). This is done at the time that salt chlorinator is installed. Then, just to be replenished salt in the tank, as it begins to lose water due to washing of the filters. The salt water is present in the pool, through the electrodes. This makes it become sodium hypochlorite. This substance destroys pathogens and organic matter from water. Then back into salt, and completes the cycle without major losses.
This new system is extremely advantageous for several reasons. Firstly it protects the health, because it acts as an antiseptic on the skin and prevents irritation and eye. Secondly, it promotes tanning. It is known that salt water attracts the sun and creates a natural tan. Third, not fade or destroy the hair, as does chlorine. Added to that, we must consider the risks as to reduce the handling of chlorine. As a chemical so powerful it should be extremely careful in their movement and strength (extreme care is not necessary with salt).
The saline treatment protects the ecology, because it requires no additional chemicals. Moreover it is cheaper, and you should only get a larger amount in the first filling of the pool, and then replenish small amounts as it loses water through the filters.
