With the presence of Luis Miguel Romero, Chancellor of the Technical University of Loja (UTPL), Omar Malagon, Director of the School of Chemical Engineering UTPL; Claudio Eguiguren, Vice Mayor of Loja, Juan José Novoa, University of Barcelona Spain, Hugo Solis, President of the National Student Federation of Chemical Engineering, and researchers from Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Spain and Ecuador, opened the First National Congress of Students and Days of Chemical Engineering II.

With the presence of Luis Miguel Romero, Chancellor of the Technical University of Loja (UTPL), Omar Malagon, Director of the School of Chemical Engineering UTPL; Claudio Eguiguren, Vice Mayor of Loja, Juan José Novoa, University of Barcelona Spain, Hugo Solis, President of the National Student Federation of Chemical Engineering, and researchers from Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Spain and Ecuador, opened the First National Congress of Students and Days of Chemical Engineering II.

The event is organized by the Technical University of Loja and the National Student Federation of Chemical Engineering, with the aim of finding solutions to energy and environmental problems.
Omar Malagon In this context, expressed in his greeting that chemical engineers have a responsibility to create a sustainable goods also stated that this space is ripe to discuss the future of chemical engineering in Ecuador, and two themes: the environment and energy, the first in the sense of recovering degraded environments and the second alternative energy, not a solution but as the road.
The event runs through Oct. 17 at the Convention Center UTPL where participants can access lectures, presentations, roundtables, exhibitions and workshops.
