Since early this century a precedent JRC at the European level to produce the first multi-function camera with climate and solar radiation capacity to 1000W/m2 bound to the first Spanish Official State Center for the PV industry CENER (National Renewable Energy Center) belonging to CIEMAT (Center for Energy and Environmental Research) under the Council for Scientific Research (Ministry of Science and Innovation).

The following image shows the camera provided to CENER-CIEMAT.

The international reference center implemented its laboratory certification LEMF (Testing Laboratory Photovoltaic Modules) accredited by ENAC UNE-EN 61215:1997 for crystalline silicon PV modules for terrestrial applications (design qualification and type approval).

Thus, the first camera developed by ITC set a legal precedent being assurance and formal approval on Spanish territory.

Since then, in the 10 years, CCI has developed several similar cameras, both for degradation testing, and the study of coefficients of performance against selective irradiation variables.

The camera developed by ITC, as well as being an instrument of CENER certification are certified by AENOR to meet the requirements of the rules introduced by the International Electrotechnical Commission as IEC TC82 standards body according to UNE-EN ISO 9001-2008 with application to the completion of all tests from IEC such as:

Tests of crystalline photovoltaic panels according to UNE-EN 61215 for terrestrial applications in all paragraphs relating to environmental degradation cycles corresponding (cold, heat, moisture, freezing, radiation, rain, wind).

Testing of photovoltaic thin films according to UNE-EN 61 646 for terrestrial applications in all paragraphs relating to relevant environmental degradation cycles (cold, heat, moisture, freezing, radiation, rain, wind).

CEM Operation: Temperature 25 º C and irradiance of 1000W/m2 with spectral distribution of radiation according to IEC 60904-3.

Measurement of tonka: total solar irradiance 800W/m2 temperature of 20 º C and wind 1m/seg.

Operating on the tonka: tonka cell temperature to 800W/M2 irradiance spectral distribution of radiation with IEC 60904-3.

In addition to other tests such as:

Concentration module tests to IEC 62 108.

Corrosion tests according to IEC 61 701 salt spray.

Etc.

Also it is noteworthy that in addition to the above ground applications, cameras are designed to CCI also play aerospace regulations such as PV modules to EN 4199-005:2009 cables and their counterparts, which are enforceable by the NASA, ESA, etc., and therefore enforceable by the Spanish institutions and agencies such as the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA), Aeronautical Constructions (CASA), etc.

ITC cameras can be made regardless of size, depending on the type of components to be tested, from small compact cameras to large modular visited cameras, capable of hosting large numbers of photovoltaic modules, as well as large batteries radiant panels, mobile racks, etc.

JRC has been developing since 1967 and under the AENOR certification, chambers of solar radiation climate model, including the cameras are able to reproduce the most diverse weather conditions for the certification of PV modules.
